Art Gallery… M&C’s plans changed midway through an extensive home remodel and new construction. Half of their home was beautifully remodeled, and half was still in 1960’s décor. One quarter million has been spent on the back yard, pool, patio and landscaping and the front yard was suffering from drought. Two big benefits were a culdesac location backing up to a Creekside setting, and the owner’s artwork. Both M&C are artists. After discussing the options, we staged with the owner’s furniture in minimalist style, and some of their exceptional art work. Because a buyer’s first impression is so important, all the promotional material, on-line and in print, showed finished rooms only. After attracting buyers to the home, plans were available to illustrate what could be done to finish the remodel. The sellers went to work on the “1st Steps in Preparing Your Home for Sale” document. I brought in my staging consultant, trades crews and the professional pictures show the finished product. The reward was multiple offers and selling for over list price.
